hello.
it was the beginning of Autumn a couple of days ago. and already we can feel the change in the air, a crispness to the days, a chill bite to the nights. there are still hot days, probably will be until the end of October. some of the plants and grasses are changing color... my parents always loved to venture up into the forested hills that cradle Lavenderland, to listen to the trees sigh and streams chuckle and watch the various wild flora and fauna as fall weather came on. the smell of sun-warmed pine needles, the turquoise mineral scent of the splashing creeks running through cool mysterious caves, and the sweet ethereal notes of honeysuckle drifting in the shining afternoon air are some of my earliest summer and fall memories.
...our car has broken down again. it was across town during busy hour, in the searing hot sun. we had to walk the rest of the way to our destination, after managing to push the car over to a side street. and then had to walk all the way back home. it was grueling, to say the least. and it wasn't until a few days later my husband's father was kind enough to pull the dead car back to our house. my older brother was over today to try charging the battery for a few hours. it ran, but didn't hold a charge. it might be the alternator, said my older brother before he left. i'm not sure what to do, i guess make an appointment with the auto shop, then find some way to get it over there. luckily its only a few blocks away.
...despite the car acting up, i did manage to make my last two dental appointments, a cleaning and a filling. the cleaning went okay. my gums had gotten neither better or worse since the hygienist saw me last. and the filling was way overdue, it took a while, but i'm glad its been taken care of now. there's a few more he needs to work on still, my next appointments are in November.
around the house, the same things are in disrepair, save for a new upper pane of glass in one of the bedroom windows- the old pane just fell right out when my husband tried to adjust the window. good thing it didn't break, but there was an obvious opening for a while-_-
...finally got some lightbulbs, so we can see in the laundry room again^^ but i'd still like to get some little nightlight bulbs whenever we can.
this month has been pretty rough, just barely getting by in the food department. however i'm getting a bit more in my food stamps next month^^ so we should be able to start stocking up
...our caseworker has been so kind and attentive to us. she helped us find a chiropractor, and we went for most of August and some of this month before the car broke down. it was helping, both of us with our posture and sleeping. she also scheduled appointments for both of us for a wellness check and for me a women's exam. and they're all tomorrow. again, we haven't seen either kind of doctor for at least five years. so admittedly i'm a bit nervous. but once all the paperwork is done, it will go quickly and then it will be over with-nod- ...i wonder if we'll be getting flu shots as well. again, we haven't had one in years^^' and with her help my husband is also getting his first dental exam in a while, but its at a different place than where i go.
...
its been a little harder to keep ourselves clean...whether from laziness or lack of energy, or maybe both. keeping the important parts of the house clean lately has been taking up my spare energy. and now adding walking wherever we need to go has just been exhausting. even my spare time and strength, i don't have much left to devote to drawing...i try to keep our clothes and bedding clean, though.
i really need a new eraser. i don't know how much a large one is, but i'm just working with smaller bits of my old one until i can get another. however, good news, i got one of the pens that i needed, and a new sketchbook^_^ and my next kiriban is at 50,000 pageviews, by the way.

it says nothing to me about my life
...hello.
this late summer and autumn was hot, smoke-filled, and hazy...but then the cold came on quicker than expected. December began windy and dark, but surprisingly little snow. since we still don't have a dryer, we've been washing smaller and smaller amounts of clothing, so we don't have to go out in the icy wind to get our clothes. both my husband and i got a lot of dental work done in August and September, but then we started to miss appointments on account of car or family troubles. its that way with the chiropractor too. right now we only have a donut on the front right side of the car, and all the repairs it took to simply get it r
there's something here from somewhere else

...its been a while since i've posted a new journal entry. being up and alert to see our payee has been getting easier. we missed our appointment with the psychiatrist earlier in the year, so had to go without meds for a few days. it wasn't very fun, to say the least. we just barely got to our appointment this time. we got our electric bill straightened out, but then had a clerical error with my husband's dental bills that used up most of his savings, so we're slowly building back up to where we were before my last payee. our Energy Assistance has been taken care of for the year, so that's good.
...Rose got added onto our rent as pet ex
i testify like a lullaby of memories
hello.
*sigh* so much stuff has been going on. it really feels like 2016 was a tough year for me:(
...the end of the year, through November and December, was spent frantically scrambling for a new payee. it wasn't just me-she left EVERYONE, every one of her clients high and dry, although i was more fortunate than others, nothing of ours ever got turned off, while others were left without heat, no power, no water. and just when it was beginning to get cold. but i had no money for gas, or household items. at least my food stamps had been taken care of.
we found out the extent of the damage when we had to go to our system's Mainstream buildi
and they all go hand and hand
...
finally i find the time and energy to write down a journal entry. used to be at the beginning when i first started Deviantart, i wrote journal entries every few days. how things change, i suppose. and time flies all the while. how much before it becomes too late, when its passed you by? ...but a lot has happened. i hardly know where to begin.
let's see... one of the first major changes, believe it or not, was to digital cable. this was early summer, like May or June. it was a more economical service that my husband's payee recommended. we got a lot of new music stations and other programs, like the BBC. another one was air conditioning
